I am excited to join the teaching community at Lumen Christi and bring my passion for science education to your students. I have dedicated over 10 years to teaching middle school science, where I have had the privilege of guiding young minds through the wonders of scientific discovery. I began teaching in Chicago for six years, and then moved to Milwaukee on the south side. I took a break from teaching to stay at home with our three children, and I am thrilled to return to the classroom with renewed energy and perspective. Our children (Logan, Henry, and Cecilia) attend Lumen Christi School, and I can’t wait to be part of this amazing community.
What draws me most to science education is its unique ability to encourage creativity while fostering a genuine love of learning. Science is not just about memorizing facts, but about nurturing curiosity, developing critical thinking skills, and inspiring students to ask questions about the world around them. Through hands-on experiments, collaborative projects, and real-world applications, I strive to make science both accessible and exciting for all my students.
I look forward to contributing to the academic excellence at Lumen Christi and working alongside fellow educators to create meaningful learning experiences that will inspire the next generation of scientific thinkers.
