Mrs. Mara Malloy

I am excited to join the teaching staff at Lumen Christi Catholic School. I am originally from Wauwatosa, but graduated from Florida Southern College in 1993 on a tennis scholarship. My passion for teaching began as a child, watching my dad teach Spanish. In college, I traveled to Mexico and lived with a Spanish-speaking family for the summer, which further fueled my passion. I have 14 years of experience in elementary education, including teaching second, fourth, and sixth grades, leading elementary Spanish classes, and serving as a resource teacher to support both gifted students and those with special needs. Outside of school, I teach tennis at Elite Clubs. I have taught tennis at Elite Clubs for about 30 years. I also enjoy playing tennis in my free time.
